1986 opened the tavern kept by the family of Milena Stefanov. In it you can taste typical Istrian specialties, local wines and grape, with other hosts offer a variety of cheeses and white cod, pasta, bread, dishes under čripnja (bell) that you produce. The tavern Milena can accommodate 60-odd guests at the original setting, which consists of the sale and separea with a fireplace where you can enjoy the beautiful view of the sea. On the open terrace under the shadow of pine trees can be comfortably accommodate 80 people that you can admire one of the most beautiful sunset on the Adriatic. We offer accommodation up to 20 people with newly built swimming pool for guests at night.

We offer accommodation up to 20 people with novosagradjeni pool only for guests on the night.

Our guests can enjoy endless walks in the woods and fields, pick our fruit, asparagus, mushrooms, berries, wine tasting in the nearby wine cellar, bicycle (holding on bike trail), visit the world famous observatory in Višnjanu have the option of hunting tourism and everything that can be experienced in a special Istrian village.

Barrel, Village intriguing name is on a hill 240 m above sea level, where a beautiful view of Istria, the sea and further to Italy. The village is built on the foundations of a Roman fortress, which at that time was called Mons Buttarum (later Mondellebotte) which supposedly comes from a stream in the area. Today around Barrels no stream.

According to ancient records, the barrel had 4 churches. To date, 2 other churches from a dozen carved stone house with 7 families. Church St.. James was built in late 12th century, and there are well-preserved frescoes from the 15th century, made by folk craftsmen, the church of SS. Mary keeps a tombstone epitaph of a priest from Stipe Dekovic 1571.g. which is written in old Croatian script - Glagolitic. There is also a wooden polyptych 16th century, the work of masters of the Motovun Alviz Orsa.

Barrel has always been known for producing high quality Istrian wines, so why drink wine from the barrel in Bačvi - is not that the real challenge!
